Description
Many people come to me while caring for a parent whose health is changing. They’re balancing work, raising children, coordinating appointments, making difficult decisions, and quietly carrying the emotional weight of knowing that life is beginning to change.
Anticipatory grief can be difficult to recognize because the loss hasn’t happened yet, but the sadness, uncertainty, exhaustion, and guilt are already very real. My role is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can process those feelings without judgment and learn ways to care for yourself while caring for someone you love.
Together, we work through the challenges that often accompany caregiving, including changing family roles, difficult conversations, complicated emotions, and preparing for what lies ahead. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or simply looking for someone who understands this stage of life, therapy can help you feel more grounded and less alone.
I offer virtual counseling for adults throughout Georgia, with evening appointments available to better accommodate busy caregivers and working families. Sliding-scale options are available for those who need them.
